About
Saurabh Kumar is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, where he also completed his Ph.D. in 2024. His research develops mathematically rigorous, real-time-implementable guidance and control strategies for autonomous vehicles — spanning path following, trajectory tracking, interceptor guidance, cooperative pursuit-evasion, safety-critical control, and cooperative aerial manipulation — with an emphasis on provable convergence and safety guarantees.
He holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from NIT Patna (2019) and an M.Tech. in Control Systems Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra (2021). His doctoral work was recognized with the Naik and Rastogi Award for Excellence in Ph.D. Research (2024–26).
Education
Thesis: Guidance and Control for Constrained Motion of Autonomous Vehicles
